2316/C3 SKF Self-Aligning Ball Bearing 80x170x58mm
Self-Aligning Ball Bearings have two rows of balls which locate in a sphered outer ring. The bearing will permit angular misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing. It is particularly suitable for applications where considerable shaft deflection or misalignment are expected.
The basic design has a cylindrical bore but in certain size ranges this bearing is available with a taper bore, commonly used in conjunction with an adaptor sleeve. This bearing provides low friction which enables it to run cooler even at high speeds.
Size 80mm x 170mm x 58mm.
Sizes - d=80mm, D=170mm, B=58mm
C3 - Bearing internal clearance greater than normal.
Self-Aligning Ball Bearings can be used in a wide of industries such as lifting equipment, agricultural, pumps and general engineering applications
- C3 radial bearing clearance
- Correct operating play at high temperature or press fit
- Bearing design with considerable shaft deflection or alignment errors
- Self-adjusting roller bearing
- Self-adjusting roller bearing

Double Row Self Aligning Ball Bearing with Steel Cage. Designed to be insensitive to angular misalignments of the shaft relative to the housing it is particularly suitable for applications where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected.
High quality spherical ball bearing from SKF with rubber seals.
A spherical ball bearing was at the time the one that began in 1907 at SKF.
Spherical ball bearings are self-adjusting and are therefore not affected by minor imbalances on the shaft (axle jams are recorded).
Spherical ball bearings have extremely low friction during operation and are therefore the type of roller bearings that can hold the most turns. This is suitable for use with fans, spindles and centrifuges.
The high quality of SKF's spherical ball bearings gives longer life and it equals more efficient maintenance. Service intervals can be made longer and a better uptime in production.
Available with cylindrical or conical hollow, depending on the desired assembly method.
- Optimized design that increases the wear rates by 30% inft of other spherical ball bearings
- Performs excellent and without comparison at high revolutions
- Effective seals keep pollutants out of the bed
SKF self-aligning ball bearing with steel cage. With C3 radial clearance, larger than normal. Top segment quality.
The two-row self-aligning ball bearing is an invention of SKF. This bearing has two rows of balls and a common spherical raceway in the outer ring. As a result, the bearing can adjust itself and is insensitive to misalignments with respect to the bearing housing. This bearing is particularly suitable for bearing constructions where considerable axle deflections or alignment errors have to be taken into account. Another advantage of self-aligning ball bearings is that they have the lowest friction of all rolling bearings, so that this lower generates less frictional heat even at higher speeds.
